Want to go behind the scenes for the final space shuttle launch next month?
Beginning at noon Wednesday, you can register for NASA’s two-day Tweetup at Kennedy Space Center. The Tweetup will allow just 150 of @NASA’s followers to tour the space center, view the launch and even talk to astronauts, according to the space agency. You’ll also get to meet NASA’s social media team.
But you better act fast — registration lasts just 24 hours. NASA then will randomly select the 150 participants, as well as a waiting list.
You can find out more about the Tweetup here.
By the way, if you’re selected for the Tweetup you’ll have to find your own way to Florida; NASA isn’t shuttling anyone down to the launch site.
UPDATE: I applied but was shut out — I wasn’t selected for the Tweetup or the waiting list. I’m not surprised, though. NASA said it received more than 5,000 applications for the Tweetup.
